School libraries in general have a positive impact on student achievement students score higher on reading assessments regardless of their socio-economic statuses and help student in completing school.

The library occupies a very important place in school. With its books suited to the interests and aptitude of students of different age group, with its magazines, periodicals, newspapers and with its calm and tranquil atmosphere it has a special call to the students who go there and quench their thirst for reading the material which cannot be provided to them in the classroom. Here they find an environment which is conductive to the building up of habit of self-learning. The library is the center of the intellectual and social activities of the school.

Science Labs

Science is different from any other subject. In order to understand its concepts, one has to look beyond the books and conventional classroom teaching. Effective teaching and learning of science involves seeing, handling, and manipulating real objects and materials. The knowledge that kids attain in classrooms would be ineffectual unless they actually observe the process and understand the relationship between action and reaction.

Effective teaching and learning of science involves a perpetual state of show and tell. BIS combines classroom teaching with laboratory experiments to ensure that our students grasp each and every concept thoroughly. It is also believed that laboratory teaching and experiments that are being conducted here help encourage deep understanding in the students. Students are able to retain the knowledge for longer when they see the experiments being performed in front of their eyes.

Science lab equipment allows students to interact directly with the data gathered. They get a first-hand learning experience by performing various experiments on their own. Students are made to use the models and understand different scientific theories and concepts. It is also found that school science lab equipment and supplies make teaching and learning easy both for the teachers, as well as for the students. There are several scientific theories and concepts that are difficult to explain directly from the books. Anatomy models, physics science kits, and chemistry science kits for instance make it easy to understand the otherwise complex theories of science.

Math Lab

The mathematics laboratory is a place where students can experiment and explore patterns and ideas. It is a place where one can find a collection of games, puzzles, and other teaching and learning material. The materials are meant to be used both by the students on their own and with their teacher to explore the world of mathematics, to discover, to learn and to develop an interest in mathematics. The activities create interest among students to explore, and test some of their ideas, beliefs about mathematics. The math lab provides an opportunity for the students to discover mathematics through doing. Many of the activities present a problem or a challenge, with the possibility of generating further challenges and problems. The activities help students to visualize, manipulate and reason.
